I was a freshman in college...I remember watching this the whole day in my dorm room.

I was 13-14 in 99, and I remember being home alone and watching the coverage in the late afternoon.....A few years later there were back to back high school shootings, in my school district or general area, and parents and teachers were really on edge. Never phased me much. Always been a pragmatist.

I read a comprehensive book last year, (edit: the author is cited in the thread, Dave Cullen) and it's clear that Eric Harris was a sociopath, or close to that, and Dylan Klebold was a born follower, and weaker personality, who was drawn to the stronger personality in Eric. Both were alcoholics, or seriously abusing alcohol in the years leading up to the shooting. There is no "blame" to be attached, aside from some law enforcement oversights, but you have to understand a small town....There were no bullies. No goths. No Marilyn Manson. No death metal.
