It doesn’t get talked about but yes there are plenty of bw who are colorist. They never get called out. I’ve met some dark skinned bw who say they don’t fukk with dark skinned men. Those kind of statements. Or women like my mentor, my mom, and my sister in law who always went after light skinned brehs... like those are their dating patterns. And though they won’t come out and say it, I know they were trying to have lighter children. When I was pregnant with my son, I had a friend say “oh you and your bd are both light skinned and look good so your baby will too”. Like who says something like that. I’ve peeped that there are many ds bw with complexes about their color and it’s reflected in who they date, some of them prefer lighter men for that reason. It’s not just bm. It’s a sick issue that is a problem for both genders.
