‘Colorism’ (from black women perspective) = sexual racism against dark skin women. That old tweet from JT doesn’t fall within that context, so most black women aren’t going to hold her accountable. Peep those Shade Room comments right now and it’s mostly birds doing The Matrix stunts to cop pleas and spinning it like shawty ‘a victim of internalized misogyny’. 
If one of these black male rappers made that tweet though, you would see viral trending Root article type think pieces all over social media slandering black men as a collective.
What I don’t understand is why don’t labels instruct their artist(s) to delete any social media posts that could put them on that Summer Jam screen, once they go mainstream.

JT from the City Girls has opened up about colorism and what she’s had to deal with as being a dark skinned woman in the limelight.
“I can’t believe someone I laid with and thought was my friend before anything sat round b**ches and called me black and crunchy,” she tweeted on Monday. “When he say that to me I be thinking be joking but he really feel that way wow!”
