There is zero chance a player is sitting out of a playoff game. Zero. You’re saying a player will look at his team and know they don’t have a chance to win and decides not to risk it? Zero chance.

It’s not just about playoff games. And networks still pay big money for the other bowl games. Just look at what happened last year with Florida St. do you think they paid all that money to air a blow out because the best players for Florida St. didn’t go?

The NCAA lost its grip because it was too dumb to make logical steps into actually allowing players to make money. That's what happened. Had players been allowed to make money 30 years ago before the internet/social media age, I don't think the CFB landscape would've gotten here. This is about money, not about deciding the true champion.

I had no problem with the 4 team playoff, and agree that 8 at most is where it should've stopped.

I'm thinking there's more and more truth into the theory that the SEC and Big 10 want to completely eliminate being under the NCAA. Each university is one step away from being semi pro teams. I could see all of this falling apart next decade if the conferences keep cannibalize each other.
