what about eating 1800 all week and eating whatever on cheat day
You really have to ask yourself why you want to do that. Restricting yourself for the sake of having the ability to binge later just isn't healthy.

Even when I have "cheat days" I fast all day and eat 1 meal maybe 2 that fit in my caloric goal or at worse at my maintenance calorie. But lot of people cut on 1800 cal all week then have a 5000 calorie cheat day.

im 255 coming from 280 im eating 1800 calories and 1 cheat day what u think i should do
how tall are you and do you do cardio? I mean if you are sustaining it and it works thats fine, but keep in mind as you get leaner you will need to lower your calories even more, do you really want to be eating 1500-1600 calories a day depending how lean you want to get?

im tring to get to 220 im 5;6 255 and i work out 4 times a week for 1hr and a half about 25-30 min cardio then weights
I'd bump the cardio up to 40 min, when ever you eventually hit a plateau and stop losing weight. I lift 3 days a week and do cardio on the other days, on days I screw up on my diet I`ll do an extra cardio session in the evening.

Week 5

I gotta thank you guys. Really did make me reconsider what I was doing. I'm eating more now and have slowed down a lot on the running. I'm enjoying lifting, I didn't like it at first but now that I'm seeing results I look forward to it. Since last Friday I messed up my diet on Sat., Sun., Mon., and Tues. My wife started working and I've just gotten really busy with life. Before I didn't have anything going on but in a week things picked up a lot. With all the changes my nutrition went on auto-pilot and I reverted back to my old ways. Wednesday I came back and jumped right in. My diet is back on track, I've stuck to lifting. I didn't do too much damage. It was just about messing up and getting back up. More good than bad. I'm just adjusting to this new schedule. I have some extra money this month, is there any supplements or stuff like that I should buy that will help? What do you guys think of creatine? I live in CA so I can't find that ephderine stuff. I'm not weighing myself till the 5th because I probably gained some weight back cause of my screw up.

already bro we all in this together and its pretty cool i can be on this journey with someone but creatine monohydrate is the best i think stay at it we here for u

Same to you man, hope you continue your success. I've been looking into the creatine monohydrate. Looks cheap and useable. People's opinion on creatine has changed a lot since high school.

I wouldn't worry about supplements right now for a few reason:

You are so early in the journey that I think it's better for you to learn how your body reacts to changes in nutrition and exercise with out that influence.

Creatine is effective and safe. I'm on it for the properly and seeing gains. That said it's going to make you hold water and to some degree. If you are really focused on scale numbers it could mess with your head in that respect.

There is a time for supplements if you want to go that route but I would hold off for now.

I don't count whey in that regard because it's food. If it makes sense for you get in cals easier then go for it but you don't need that either.

interesting video I saw for work yesterday. Video is about going that extra mile. Doing that little extra, giving a push at the end of day, when you're done you can't keep going do a little extra to breakthrough

Week 6

Back at it, I just keep going. Putting in the work seeing results. I bought a pair of Asic Surveyor Gel 3 I've never had shoes like those, it's like they make my feet take the next step when I'm jogging. When I sprint it feels like I have springs on my feet and I'm running on a trampoline. It's crazy. For lifting I just lift in my socks cause I feel like I have a stronger grip on the floor and it helps me focus more on the lift. I've been seeing progress like crazy. I haven't had a chance to weigh myself but like you guys say it's not really that important. I'm looking a lot better though. I can see my t*ts shrinking, my arms are looking better, and I'm getting my shoulders back. Someone tried to accuse me of using laxatives :childplease:. It's difficult for people to accept that hard work and proper eating and you'll drop weight it's that easy. At least I'm not at the point where people are asking me if I'm on drugs.

I still haven't beat the weekend. My goal for March is to stick it out 7 days a week no cheating. No skipping a workout. I'm cutting all the cheating out of my routine, I just want to let myself taste what it feels like to be consistent. So far I've been doing good. I had a tough start on Monday but we're rolling. Tomorrow is my sons birthday party so it's going to be difficult avoiding all the food but I think preparation will be the key. Having everything good to go. I'm also eating more so I don't feel so drained all the time and am pushing it when it comes to the weight. I'm going to post pictures in July so you guys don't think I'm lying about any of this.
