I think TPTB gave him an ultimatum. Bro mentioned earlier that after the Bush comments, Kanye was done. Can’t have one of the biggest artists in the world calling the president a racist. Especially someone who aspired to be more than “just a rapper.” Yeah, Eminem was able to diss Trump, but he doesn’t speak on black issues or black empowerment.

I find it odd that people think Ye did this for sales. If anything, it hurt his numbers because MANY black people turned their backs on him after the Trump and slavery comments, and it’s not like those racist whites were gonna check for him anyway.

You have any insight as to what happened with Martin Lawrence when he was wildin out in traffic that time? Dave Chapelle said in that interview “these people are not crazy...maybe the environment is a little sick.” It’s just odd that if you listen at how Martin was talking in this interview on Arsenio versus now, it’s night and day. Yes, he’s much older now, but still. I know during this interview, he pretty much had the Martin show and a few other roles. It wasn’t until later on when he starred in Bad Boys and became a big star, then a few years after that, had a breakdown. Plus in this interview, he’s talking “black empowerment.”
