It goes to show how you can be dealt with if you don't "abide to the rules." If you become a disruption, you'll be painted as crazy or you'll be punished. Dave Chappelle talked about this at a comedy show I went to over ten years ago. He said when you get into a certain tax bracket, you meet the "real white people."

To the "crazy" part, that's the same thing they said about runaway slaves. The scholars of the day diagnosed them with a mental illness called "drapetomania."
They make sure you lose all credibility and turn everyone (even your own people) against you. If anything happens to you there won’t be any outrage.

Look at the parallels between Kanye and Donald Glover. Shyt went down behind the scenes. I’m not defending them, but I feel like I should provide some talking points.
I don't really know the parallels, but it seems like they overlapped in the sense that Kanye came on the game on his pro black shyt while Donald Glover made c00n type jokes (really not familiar with his comedy or music for that matter, but I know that one joke he did). Flash forward, everyone feels like Kanye is a sell out, and Donald Glover is pro black and conscious. I don't really know about Donald Glover, but the media seems to love his version of blackness. He's now the anti-Kanye.

Alphabet boys still plotting against me
To hush me and stuff me in the pockets of history
You won't remember why they came to clip me
When time go by you'll soon forget me
They say he was the king of bling, jewels, and Bentleys
Then they use one of my lines just to prove I'm guilty
Don't let 'em kill me...

She was dropped from Jive after they decided to keep R. Kelly over her. The label couldn’t keep both. There was a settlement and he owns the rights to her first album. They also can’t/couldn’t speak about one another. She allegedly contacted him after they parted ways.

Blackground was basically created for her to release music. Aaliyah was blackballed after the scandal. She made a comeback by working with new producers because most of the established producers wouldn’t work with her allegedly.

She got a lot of connections through Kidada and they lived in Europe for a while and she was even Aaliyah’s legal guardian.

“Are You That Somebody?” is the reason why Aaliyah got big in Hollywood. Producers saw the video and were in awe of how she danced.

She allegedly had a heart to heart with “The Breakfast Club” before she died.

She knew Jay Z before Dame and they all lived together.

Aaliyah got into a fight with Timbaland over business. He was in love with her and she was in a relationship. Blackground was cheating him out of money and he didn’t want to do the album, but he wanted to do majority of the album. He was possessive over her. She felt that he should do the work with her based on her giving him a shot and them being friends. They didn’t make up before she died.

She wanted to get more into film due to being dissatisfied with the music industry and its politics. That’s allegedly the reason why she hadn’t released an album in 5 years.

Allegedly.
Do u know what the heart to heart was about?
