same types of stories that i enjoy watching on the big screen. If there has been a movie based on a novel in theaters i probably read the book before.
I read Jurassic park years before the movie came out actually.

Also like to read classic literature sometimes, mostly just to understand pop culture references to classic stories and to sound intelligent and well read should the subject come up in conversation. Think the books they assigned for reading in school type stuff. Ironcially there is often overlap between these two categories.

Outside of those two i will read books to help me keep up to date with my profession. I'm an accountant, so finance related books, stuff i feel like will help me stay current in my education. because college was long ago and things related to GAAP can potentially change.

Didn't GAAP get phased out a decade ago and eberybody was supposed to align with IFRS?..... I bombed my accounting courses cause I found them boring, with irony being I am all in finance.....
