Watched this on Amazon last night. The actress who played the grandma did a really good job, she stood out the most to me although the overall cast is very solid and I liked the direction.
Very unique watch right here. Probably one of the slowest films I've ever watched, yet it kept my interest throughout. There's a driving scene near the beginning that's damn near ASMR status and almost had me nodding off, but things pick up shortly after once the movie gets into space. The final reveal is rather nuts though.
2 hours and 46 minutes and yet...it simultaneously didn't and did feel like that length at the same time. I'm not opposed to a re-watch in the future.

very good movie. writing is amazing considering the guy that wrote it was an out of control drug addict who was locked up when he wrote it and then committed another robbery when the movie was released. he also was an accomplished poet from the nuyorican poets cafe.

definitely could have been edited down, but i do think they wanted you to meditate on the zone a bit before you see it

I've yet to really get into Tarkovsky. Like Bergman...I get it...but just can't.
