Visually still one of my favourite movies to watch. Even Roger Ebert liked it.:gladbron:

Still turned away at the suspension scene though. Even as a kid, skin stretching is still

Certainly weaker then the first...simply because it takes a long time to pick up...the last 45 minutes or so was actually better then i remembered it was....

I live for this man:wow:. Not as good as A Huey P Newton Story but, it was just as powerful. I always admired this Roger Guenveur Smith's stage work. Dude just blacks out and goes bad shyt insane :wow:. A very surreal take on Rodney King not as a flawed individual, but the domino effect that came from the 1991 beating leading into the 92 riots.

I liked it. I'm new to her filmography and French New Wave in general so I'm just going in with open eyes and soaking in all of her magic like a sponge. A film revolving around a rocky marriage had me hesitant at first....especially during this time, but I'm glad I gave this one a look.

Loved the visual aesthetics in this one, and in nearly every frame really. The tight close-ups were executed perfectly and for a 25 year old with no prior training on how to be a filmmaker, the cinematography was pretty damn impressive. :ehh: The dialogue between the couple and the locals kept me invested enough to where I wasn't bored with it.

By the way, cats galore.

I got a whole list of films from her I need to watch now, but this one was pretty solid.
