This might even be better than Casino Royale. That said, the Bond girl got done so dirty :picard:

But yo,

Black Moneypenny :shaq:

Moneypenny actually being a decent field operative :brilliantshawty:

Javier Bardem as Anton "Sugar" :dame:

The meta-commentary on whether society has moved past secret agents/007 :leon:

Bringing back the classic Aston Martin one last time :banderas:

M :mjcry:

This was a great one.

No bullshyt this might be my favorite documentary of all time. If not, definitely top 2 with Tupac: Resurrection.

They unearthed a huge stash of recordings Marlon Brando made himself during his regressive hypnotherapy sessions and centered it around this documentary.

This guy was fascinating and outspoken about the entertainment industry and the treatment of different races. They really show everything and even his flaws.

Even if your not a fan I suggest you watch this, it’s on the showtime app.

10/10.

Not bad, not bad at all. Not touching CR or Skyfall but this is the closest to classic Bond for this era :ehh:

Very late 90's feel to it. I enjoyed it.

Big Dave with the Cholo accent.

An inspired Jodie Foster.

Sterling K Brown doing the Lou proud.

Nice cast. Solid 7/10, but no performance / character that'll hold up to time.

Wow. WOW.

Laughing is about all I could do once the credits started to roll. First of all, shout out to Mahershala and Viggo for mostly great performances...but that's gonna be where it stops. This movie is so.....Hollywood and bullshyt, it's unreal. It can't even keep track of whether it really wants to address racism or not (it doesn't). Everything's going good until reality brings you back to being a black man in the deep south, then it's all good again...until it's not, again.

Even if I didn't know beforehand, the Doc's story was complete nonsense. Never had fried chicken before? :comeon: Matter of fact, he acted like he's never eaten chicken period. The scene where he gets out of the car and laments about how he's not wanted by any aspect of society had all the intensity of a teenage girl whining about getting the wrong colored dress for her birthday. bytch nikka man up :mjlol: And I'm not sure whether he was really gay or not, but I'm supposed to believe the racist italian from the Bronx with a "heart of gold" can sympathize with not only a black man, but a gay black man? :rudy: Not even gonna touch on the final scene where his family magically accepts the Doc at the dinner table MERELY MINUTES after calling him a racial slur in italian. :gucci:

I'm about all over the place right now and this movie isn't worth me gathering my thoughts properly. Best picture? :laff:

Overly dramatic and slow as molasses.

In fact, I'll do better, I'm probably better off reading the book this came from. This one tries entirely too hard to be an adaptation come to life, if that makes sense. Every scene heavily measured to the point of dragging, music in every scene to set a tone, characters that feel like caricatures than people....it just leads to a very boring watch.

Highlight of the movie was the scene with dude talking to Paperboi.
