You know nothing about Ben. Him saying he burns the plastic barns could mean anything, it's only through the disappearance of Hae-Mi that it becomes the implication of something more sinister. But he could very well be a bored player who simply keeps trophies of the women he conquers. Much like the story of the well which, depending on your belief if it may or may not have happened, defines whether Hae-Mi felt they had a special bond, she was making it up because she was afraid to lose him or was using it as a cry for help to save her from Ben. Everything is possible depending on what you think the characters' true intentions are.

Man just tell me this, are all of Chang-dong Lee's films this good? I swear I feel like watching this again later tonight.

I'm going for the simplier logic that he is a serial killer & he's killing girls....who have ran away from home (money issues) & don't have a connection to thier family any more, making thier dissapperance much easier...

I read that "Cremation" (Burning) & "Make up" are pretty much the same word in Korean breh...

Then you see Ben putting make up in his next victim.....

One of my favorite movies ever. They were showing it in theaters (at least where I live) a couple year back. Had to catch it.
The whole first 10 mins always has me chucklin...all amused an shyt.

I'm halfway thru this shyt...man this shyt is wild as fukk...stupid as fukk...but hilarious as all fukk.


You can tell this shyt was made back in the Late 60s...early 70s when hella drugs where being taken. Man the style of animation is on some other shyt completely.

Edit: It took some turns...some kinda dark...crazy ass movie...straight up. Alot better than I thought it would be. I'd highly recommend.
