Kind of shocked to see how far under the radar this movie seems to be flying considering it's really damn good.
It might be a tad on the traditional and clean side for a biopic but in a year where everyone and their moms is overrating the fukk out of clean-ass Bohemian Rhapsody this carried much more emotional and dramatic weight for me, plus Coogan and Reilly are both every bit as good as Malek was in BR. You really feel these two were perfectly in tune with each other as performers, plus it helps the writing is exceptional that makes sure the side characters all get their shine too. At times I felt a movie focusing purely on their wives would be just as entertaining as this is. Hopefully with its European release starting this past week this will pick up a bit more steam because it certainly deserves it.
This film is a masterclass in how to do ambiguity. Like you feel you got all the pieces to the puzzle but some pieces fit in multiple ways.

I have questions but I'm not even sure if I should be asking them. Godamn.

Honestly breh, wait for the bluray to drop. The webrip I watched last night had alright picture quality but the audio was kind of bad in spots. You could hear everything but you'll notice when the bitrate drops.Where the hell can I find that Burning joint?
Been lookin for that shyt for like 2 months.
cmon homie, you KNOW you cant just be tellin me you saw a webrip and not provide that liznink!Honestly breh, wait for the bluray to drop. See, there's the thing.Hae-Mi had credit card debt like that woman said most of those dancing girls said and that's why she latched onto Ben so hard. I'm not sure what to make of the well story since her folks at the restaurant plus the land owner said there was never a well for her to fall as a child in but Jong-su's mother said there was.
Ben doesn't "burn greenhouses", he's a serial killer and keeps the trophies of his victims in that bathroom drawer. Last time we ever saw Hae-Mi was in his porsche and her watch ends up in the drawer?
That being said, I was still when Jong-su ended up killing him. Film does a fantastic job of making you feel for him since my last theory was never outright confirmed, even if signs point to that.
And Jong-su...what a guy. Masturbating in Hae-Mi's room to the light shining off the observatory because that's when he got to hit? :dayum: Father's got anger issues, got locked up, mother said :timmyimout: and now he's a broke ass "writer" with poor social skills.
I gotta run this back when I get a proper bluray rip
