I don't think I've seen the movie so I can't compare. I will say that it's a decent show but it's not like must-see tv or anything. I don't have any complaints about the acting/writing etc.

I savored all those ass whooping Porky handed him.

They didn't deserve any revenge honestly Tommy got beat up three times and Porky waved charging them after they destroyed his entire club out of fear he'll get in trouble for serving minors alcohol. Porky was running a strip club and they came in looking for prostitutes and he taught them a lesson. If Tommy dumbass would've just taken the first L there wouldn't be much of a movie left and the whole town came out to support these degenerates.
