Been knee deep in 'Get Shorty' on Epix. It's based in part on the book, but takes a bunch of liberties. Enjoying it a lot so far. Kinda surprised there's no thread for it.

A ton of dark humour and plenty of fukkery and Chris O' Dowd and Ray Romano have been really good in it.



I don't know what the ratings are like, but they're up to episode 7 or 8 now.

It was a interesting flick, went from being a typical goofy comedy to dark as hell within 10 minutes.

Jordanian prison comedy about an elderly construction worker (who eerily looks like a muslim Jeff Goldblum) who is sentenced to three months in prison for some minor "embezzlement" after taking money from a job and lending to his cousin. While he waits for his cousin to pay bail, he goes through the court/prison system where corruption, embezzlement and swindling make up daily life on both sides of the law. It's a fun little movie about people who are only criminals because they got caught while everyone around them does exactly the same.

Don't remember the last movie I saw, but if any of you coli brehs want to get into the movie/entertainment business , I think Atlanta is the place to be.

I've rode past at least 4 movies being filmed this week alone all over the city. Many more over the past few years. They filmed the new civil war near my crib, & they have been doing the Walking Dead on my side of town since it first started coming on tv. I see those yellow signs that tell production crews where to go everywhere.

I can't believe what I'm seeing down here..this really is the new Hollywood. I used to stop & watch some filming but it's so commonplace here now that it's a normal thing for me to see.
