Just saw some movie where Jennifer Lopez and her non-descript cac husband adopts a baby at the end. In the last scene, Chris Rock hangs with a bunch of white friends and one of his white friends tries to throw a bud light to another cac friend. White friend can't throw, hits Chris Rock's baby son in the head and the baby falls down. They freak out, the baby stood up and then they clapped and gave each other high fives. I slept through most of the movie. I can't remember the title. But this is the whitest shyt I've ever seen.

With a title like this it should be obvious, but this Egyptian political thriller is styled like an old fashioned film noir. A corrupt cop of the effortlessly corrupt police organisation investigates the murder of a hooker in the hotel room of a powerful politician. Soon (but not so soon due to the movie's slow pace) the investigation becomes completely manipulated by different parties and the cop starts to question his course of justice. The movie is hard-boiled enough to keep your attentioneven as the movie's slow pacing is seemingly trying it's hardest to make you stop caring at times. Still, for fans of film noir this is definitely must-see.

Lengthy Brazilian drama about an elderly but still free-spirited woman (Sonia Braga) who is the last remaining tenant of an appartement complex set for demolition. Unwilling to sell the home she has lived in her entire life, the construction company starts a passive aggressive campaign to force her out. Of course like most arthouse dramas the movie is more about her daily life and her strong personality than the actual plot, which only picks up some minor steam towards the end before ending abruptly. Still it offers great insight in the life of what could be considered an OG feminist.

Finally finished this

1) should've been a cartoon the entire time, with 30 minute episodes and live action spliced in-between

2) SF should've been the main character, with more time focused on his struggles than Zeke's cliché romantic bullshyt
