Powell is probably my favorite Marlowe too
Rewatched Ali, and loved it. I never cared for it before, but now it really got to me. The music, the cinematography, the editing
The scene with him running in Zaire, and witnessing just how large he was amazing 
Bogart played that role on stage, in the movie, then later again on the live tv version of it, with Bacall playing the girl, and Henry Fonda playing Howard's role.

very good movie. dark comedy take on the 80s teen movie genre. there were many attempts to either make a sequel, remake, or a tv show in recent years, but after columbine no studio or network will touch this. it has been adapted into a stage play, though...
