One of the many reasons I wear what I like and not what's "in season".
That's how it should be, but most styles rotate. Like, peplum was a big trend in the 80s and last season it was huge. Prior to that, you couldn't find peplum items...because they weren't produced. When the trend comes back, those items you may like/have liked in the past are now available, so you want to stock up lol. Personally, I wear what flatters my shape. Those super short in the front and long in the back asymmetrical dresses don't work for me and they were a huge trend this past season. But, if it doesn't flatter my body, then I'm not going to wear it. Super short shorts with the booty hanging out were popular this summer. Again, not my thing.

Most of the things I like don't ever go out of style/aren't trendy (cardigans, sweaters, loafers, slacks, quality denim jeans, riding boots, etc.) so luckily, I don't have to worry about it. I can go anywhere and replace it with another quality piece.
