Women spend on every day stuff...like shoes, purses, clothes. Men spend on big purchases - expensive cars, electronics etc...stuff that are out of their means sometimes. I know a number of men who are struggling, but always have the latest sneakers, or iPhone or car.
Yeah cause women don't buy shoes, purses, clothes that are beyond their means. Stop it

The average person isn't going to have $300,000K cash to purchase a home. This is why mortgages exist. I don't think it's living outside of your means if you are able to pay your monthly fees.

a mortgage of course is necessary but lets be honest look how many dudes are driving cars with crippling payments just so they can appear to be successful , look how many women are up to their necks in debt because of shoes and handbags...

if you couldnt afford it in the first place you are living beyond your means

Agreed. A good amount of my paycheque goes straight to my savings. Then, I budget the rest of my income. It works well for me...I know that no matter what, my savings are taken care of and then if I have extra to treat myself (clothes, shoes, etc) then that's great and if I don't, then it's for another day.

He should be happy, found out her true colors before marriage and children.

Seems nowadays you need to have a second car like a 1989 ford pinto, and tell women your making min wage to see their true intentions.

what people have to realise is that the game is rigged, and the only way to win is not to play....... Im like most dudes i like cars, all through college when I was driving $500 wrecks all I wanted was a nice ride, fast forward after i graduated and was working I bought a car 1 year old BMW, the day i picked it up after driving about nowhere in particular for about 4 hours i realised "its just another car" the fantasy is always better than the reality..... now dont get me wrong I still like cars and Ive had nice cars since but Ill be dammed if Im going to pay 10-20% over the cost price just to finance a vehicle thats just gonna get me from A to B....

The last Tv I bought, the store clerk spent more time trying to convince me to buy it on credit than he did telling me about the TV, when you tell em you want to pay cash and not credit they look at you like you just offered then heroin ......

The game is rigged

Who doesn't want nice things? I would love to rock a different pair of Louboutins to work every day, but I'm not at that level in my life, so I'll just rock my beautiful new leather Aldo boots I got on sale lol and they look great. I got 5 pairs for $150 (each on sale from like $180 each down to $25/$30 each). So, whatevs. I'm good with that. I don't need a $500 pair of shoes to look good/fashionable *shrug* I'd much rather spend that money more responsibly.

I'm paying like 1,000 a month for my car and can't wait till I can work at home and get rid of of it.
