Also, I know Listen has spoken out against the NA option, but everyone else seemed interested.

If we only put it at one player, it will limit anyone's ability to load up on talent while still allowing us to free up bench spots instead of keeping players on the roster all season w/o result like Wil Meyers last year or Bryce Harper the year before.

I know a couple can't make Friday, but K-O-B has said that's fine with him...and with his picks it levels the playing field at least a little bit

That's a polite way of putting it

There is an open team........and the keepers options aren't awful.....but you don't a 1st or 3rd round pick.

its because we had this stupid rule up to this year where if you dont have first several draft rounds, and you keep a 1st rounder, it effectively slides down

so votto was a 2nd rounder or something but because this person didnt have a pick till the 10th round it shows as votto being kept in the 10th

what happened was people either went all in or all tank. either they traded all their picks hoping to get in the money or they stocked up on picks for next year

we finally abolished this rule starting this season so no more bullshyt hopefully

You can trade picks in this league, and some people go all in.
You can keep players for a 2nd and third year, so Votto was drafted in the 10th round in 2010 (or that, I forgot about the no draft picks), and kept in the 2 seasons after that in the 10th round (and that's why he's not available to be kept this year

The former manager began last season by trading his picks for players...and then we think something happened in his personal life because he basically just disappeared from the board and the league.

As far as Votto, etc....League rules allowed players to be kept without a pick in their round. The pick lost would slide down to the next closest round, so Yahoo recorded it as such. He was taken in the first round originally.

Those rules have since been changed. Players can't be kept without a pick in the corresponding round. They can slide UP the draft board, but not down any longer.

Anyway, league is $40, draft is set for Friday @ 7:30 EST. Not much requirement beyond that.

Nope, I took him in the first (maybe 2nd), but only kept in the 10th because I traded picks in the first 7 rounds

Anyway, like I said...that rule has changed.
