I believe he's trying to imply he just made a good trade.

In my mind, he just traded a 3rd for a 4th.

Yanow, I wasn't planning on going into next year with 2 pitching keepers....but sometimes you just can't turn down an opportunity.

So I grossly overpaid but @HHR is a genius

Listen IDIOT, the pick I traded was a 3rd rounder from @Front 2 Back

He's in 3rd place which means he would have the 3rd to last pick in the 3rd round

And the 3rd pick in the 4th round

So essentially I moved back, at maximum 6 picks although it could and most likely will be less depending on who is kept and also gained a 7th rounder (which is @HHR's pick and will be the second pick in the 7th round)

I have like 10 players that could arguably be my fifth keeper and for a year longer than degrom

Stop hating on everything I do just cause it's me, there's logic behind my moves I can only keep 5 guys and I'm gonna use everybody I'm not keeping to gain every inch on next year I possibly can

Let's not ignore that @Front 2 Back is half a point behind @God Loves Uggla so ultimately I could even be moving back a maximum of 4 picks depending on keepers and gaining the 2nd pick in the 7th round

but yeah. Awful trade :mjlol:

Good lord I have way too many pitchers

3 closers available and a ton of nice young prospects who could be potential keepers with 15th round pick

Plus wellington Castillo been hitting home runs damn near everyday since the Cubs traded him

Jung ho Kang beasting too

Grichuk, Taylor, or tucker if anybody needs an outfielder

Thought about hanging on to Salazar as a keeper but it was unlikely to happen with this roster of pitchers. He's a luxury item for me this year at this point.

Happy to move a pick up a handful of rounds instead.

Definitely a win win trade

Salazar is pretty much an insurance policy in case none of my young pitchers blow up as he can also be kept in the 15th round as well

And I had two 15th round picks already (to keep schwarber and betts) and I needed a third anyways to keep any of Salazar, matz, severino, Owens, etc
