I've got a buddy who's money I'd love to take. Long time fantasy player, he'd be a great fit for this league. If a spot opens up can he get in on it?

There are a few people who have expressed interest, and it looks like re-adding a 14th team is an option. We'll figure out the logistics and whatnot after we see if anyone isn't returning.

Anyway, lets start the discussion about re-adding the 14th team.

There are interested parties, so how to do it....

Give them the first overall pick? Last?

Select 5 players from anyone NOT kept by someone else? Obviously, if we do this, no one who couldn't be kept would be eligible for this 'expansion draft'.
Do we want to allow people to "protect" any players that they aren't keeping? Like, you'll get your 5 keepers, and you can designate 1 or 2 other players that will be excluded from the expansion draft, and thus be in the draft pool.

I say we get to protect 2, but I would be ok with protecting 1........... maybe give them an option. Last pick and 5 Keepers, or first pick and 4.

Either first or last pick IMO. There's no logic behind an arbitrary cutoff, unless you chose #4 because you know that's where I am and you're scared .
