It's whatever brings in ratings with the media in this country. From them cheerleading the Iraq War only to end up looking like idiots.
To them being responsible for Donald Trump getting elected. Because they wouldn't stop covering him 24/7 back in 2016. All that free publicity kind of backfired.
CNN made it clear awhile ago that they were going to cozy up a bit more to the right, so no shock there. These are all businesses at the end of the day, so they will always eventually advocate for interests that one way or another align with pro biz

This is the only thing that ever made sense.
People want to point at some hidden, far left/right manipulator behind the scenes. But the simple boring truth is CNN is just following the money. Trump being a dirt bag is old news. Biden being potentially unfit is new news. They'll beat this dead horse until right before the election then backtrack as they realize they overdid it and will affect the election.

Unmentioned in the NYT piece: Biden just signed a major Parkinson’s bill into law a week ago.

seems to me the NYT (and WH Press for that matter) should have cross-referenced the dates of Dr. Cannard’s visits w/ the president’s schedule. On the second of the supposed 8 dates, 8/25/23, Biden wasn’t at the WH all day. He was at Tom Steyer’s place in Tahoe that whole week.

That explanation doesn’t really add up because the doctor mostly met with the naval nurse who coordinates Biden’s care. If it were for a bill then he would’ve met with Biden or with politicians / cabinet / aides.
