Copped a mint 2001 740 sport a couple days ago. It's like my very own, german engineered, old school box chevy. I'm gonna baby the fukk out this bih

Already fixed all its minor body issues and replaced all its speakers this morning. Got a 12" sub arriving on monday. Gonna amp the interior speakers and upgrade the stereo at some point, but right now I got a bluetooth transmitter that's working out just fine.

I even fabbed my own rear shade clip from an old metal pantry cabinet that was rusting in my backyard this morning since they're NLA

Gonna drive it until the the plastic timing guide inevitably fails then am going to most likely swap an LSx into it. Either that or an S62 with a 6 speed transmission.

If you don’t need it and you just want something to stunt in on the weekends, I’d say go for it. I’m loving my 7 and it’s my daily, but I also have a plug on parts and labor at my friend’s shop. They’re known as bmw’s least reliable line, not saying they’re repair prone necessarily, but there is a price to pay when owning one.
