Judge Amy Jackson just ruled that Manafort intentionally lied to Mueller, the FBI and the grand jury during his plea deal. And Mueller is no longer required to recommend a lighter sentence for Manafort.

I feel like it's time for the New York Attorney General to step up and drop the state financial charges on Manafort to press him to fully cooperate with Mueller. All the mainstream media has been talking about in the last hour since the news broke is a pardon for Manafort and a possible secret pardon deal between Trump and Manafort. Nobody is mentioning that Trump can't pardon state charges.

Also if Trump pardons Manafort, Mueller can put Manafort on the grand jury and he can't take the 5th since he's been pardoned. If Manafort lies on the grand jury then Mueller can charge him again with perjury. Trump would have to issue another pardon.

I'm wondering if instead of offering a pardon, Trump just shortens Manafort's sentence to like 6 months or something short. Which would be pointless, but he's an idiot like that.
