I remember when the likes of @Dameon Farrow and some others I forget were trying to chase me and a few other folks out the thread with fire and pitchforks because we were being negative and trolling by mentioning the current Democratic establishment has shown time and time again that they are afraid to use the power they have and rocking the boat. Even if the report was even more definitive and outright suggested impeachment they will still sweat bullets and claw at their arms in nervousness at the thought.

His base would vote for him even if they watched him rape their mothers. They aren’t worth trying to appease. They have a constitutional duty to work to remove an unfit president from office. Dereliction of said responsibility will alienate the voters who they actually do get votes from. It shows the people that they won’t do shyt to protect the country or the rule of law or the separation of powers. If that’s the case, why bother voting them into office at all? If pelosi wants to just sit there and express “concern” for trump’s efforts to establish a dictatorship while not doing anything to remove him for him flagrant violations of his oath of office, then what makes her any better than Paul Ryan was? There’s no middle ground anymore. You’re either part of the solution or part of the problem.

I understand that. It's not even about convincing his "base" their whole political establishment is complicit. What outcome are you expecting?
