I guess I follow more federal cases closely, and I knew what to expect in that sentencing, regardless of what the minimums were, so it wasn't a surprise to me, yes, there is a blatant disparity in sentencing, it is written in the laws, but also written across many of the judges who do the sentencing. I get people wanted Manafort's head on a pike, but that didn't happen, and it really didn't change much. He will probably be in his late 70's when he is released, and is still has a long way to go, in terms of restitution, and a financial/professional downfall, he will never recover from. When he comes out, the country will be a different place.

Look at this case, from San Diego, where Mexican/Japanese businessman was convicted of attempting to influence an election, and like 14 other charges, and he was eventually sentenced to just 36 months.

The max Berman Jackson can give him is 10 years... let’s hope she does give him the max to serve consecutively.. That will be a total of 14 years.. I think the people will be good with that..
