I acknowledge the forfeiture of his assets is punishment, so yes, saying he's "getting away with it" is hyperbole, but saying his life is completely ruined is also conjecture. Let's say for the sake of argument that the 47 months is his only jail time. I work in nursing homes. 70 years old doesn't exactly make you Methuselah. The damn president is 72. He could theorietically do his bid and hang on this Earth another 10 -15 years easy.

Bottom line is that given the gravity of his crimes, this preliminary punishment is grossly insufficient. Loss of millions notwithstanding.
