You clearly forget the only time we ever had the WWF World Champ vs WCW World Champ, Vince booked the WCW World Champ to go over. He booked a WCW midcarder to go over arguably the biggest WWF homegrown star. Not only that, he beat the 2 biggest WWF stars of the AE in the same night.

Jericho was a WWE guy by that point and argubaly had enough time to build himself in that audience. Also for a lot of reasons amongst them being it was over 20 years ago, the philosiphy became different shortly afterwards. In any event the way they've built Roman the past few years would you have Cody coming in from building AEW a true alternative be the one to pass the torch to?

Vince also loved it when guys do the legwork in making themselves a name away from the company though. Brock did it with UFC, AJ did it with TNA/ROH/NJPW, Drew did it with Impact Wrestling/ICW/Evolve/Dragon Gate, ect.

At this point, Cody having built himself into a ready to go white meat babyface that can be a good PR guy, move merch, bring eyes to the product and more pretty much guaranteed he’s getting the belt at some point.

Brock going away was always a sore point. AJ and Drew in Impact is a little different and did it when they werent a threat.

There was already a report earlier after Vince stepped down that he wasnt gonna make Cody champ so it does feel like a Hunter call. Which is also interesting

He should make the Tiger Driver 98 (aka Jay Driller) his finisher if he keeps having to use CrossRhodes multiple times to get the W. Looks more damaging than CrossRhodes as well

Some of these maineventers need something like a "super" finisher that is sparingly used when their regular finisher isn't enough like Kenta Kobashi using the Burning Hammer or Mitsuharu Misawa using the Tiger Driver 91 and Emerald Flowsion Kai

Very basic show. You'd think they had something exciting after a pretty awesome PPV.

Dominic is getting a lot of heat, too bad his in ring performance is wack. What happens to him when he's no longer doing this "coward hiding behind the back of his team" gimmick?

For a 3 hour show all they could offer was Cody vs judgement day, the Edge and Beth interference, which was good, and the MVP interviewing Austin. That's pretty much it.

But hey of course we have another return of another comedy gimmick with legit wrestling skills, this time is Boogs :mjlol: I think WWE roster has enough comedy acts, he's like a mix of Alpha Academy and Elias the guitar gimmick. Give him something else to do.

Gargano in Elimination Chamber is just insulting. The crowd gave no fukks about him in Royal Rumble, what is this Triple H obsession with him? He wants to please indy crowd so badly?
