Cody said today that he believes more AEW are leaving for WWE. Im starting to believe he was a mole for Cokeboy the whole time

I actually don't hate Cody but him saying stuff like that makes him sound like a clown

He shytted on WWE for years, help start a company to compete against them,as soon as Kahn didn't give him everything he wanted,he ran back to wwe

Why say stuff like more people are gonna follow me,you have so much history with AEW just let them live,he sounds bitter just by saying a comment like that

He probably wanted to be Cody Jarrett Hemsley and Khan told him :camby:

Khan need to start being a boss and less a mark for these dudes because this a ego business and theyll run all over him.

If MJF wanna leave .. Tell him kick rocks.. Build new talent to replace him. Thats business

Wonder if he's been paying attention to what's going on in NXT because the direction they're heading in (former collegiate athletes who are generally under 30 years old and aren't paid as much compared to main roster stars) doesn't quite match up with what AEW (focusing on people with pro wrestling background) is doing. I could see people from Cody's orbit wanting to jump like Red Velvet, Lee Johnson, Arn's son, Preston Vance (who would have to leave his coke habit behind), and maybe MJF (Khan is gonna break out his dad's money to resign him), but looking at the AEW roster, with all the influx of new talent, who's rushing to go WWE that would make an impact in that company? By the time they do, they'll be fed to Bron Breakker and be left to deal with 50/50 booking.

Maybe there's some truth to it, but Cody just says shyt to say it. It's the reason why Pat McAfee doesn't fukk with him. He said Pat was calling AEW asking for an opportunity to come in when that never happened.

I really don’t think MJF is leaving AEW as fast as everyone keeps saying or implying.

like last week in a thread an E Stan was talking about the future of WWE and they named Bron, Austin Theory, and MJF and that had me like :gucci:

MJF loves to talk and talk provocative…. I can see for the next couple of years niccas keep saying that and in the end WWE ends up with Sonny Kiss and Kip Sabian

I think Khan calls dad to get the clearance to match any WWE offer. A lot can change by the time his contract is actually up (IMO it's stupid as fukk for MJF to talking about contracts in 2024 when his has nearly 2 years left).

there are always exceptions, and WWE isn't completely going away from people with wrestling backgrounds they literally just introduced a new recruit class consisting of former indy wrestlers.. there are people in AEW in their 20s right now who have come in via Cody's nightmare factory school like Jade/Anna/Julia/Lee Johnson etc and guys like Ricky Starks who Cody is close to and brought to AEW, that's not even to name the guys most people tend to think are leaving like MJF and Wardlow, even if a lot of people aren't big names in AEW currently it's still a significant thing, Steve Austin and Triple H were midcarders in WCW and became household names in WWF.

Jericho as well but look how far back we gotta go for the examples. :francis:

I dont have faith in that system making new stars.

I think MJF will definetly want to try and do a run with WWE at some point but he maybe cautious to sign a longterm contract. He might do 2-3 years

A lot of these guys are gonna want to try and at least see what WWE is like. I expect Jade to even jump. But I think Tony will also compete. He has been smart in building the young home talent stars (Sammy, Darby, Jade, Britt, MJF) so hes not left struggling when Punk/Daniels/Hardy/Joe inevitably call it a day and Kenny winds down even further. But there will be a transistion period for them too and a couple of struggling to regroup after but they should be ok after especially with ROH as a feeder system with its brand cache/legacy.

Even if that’s the case and ESPECIALLY if that’s the case.

Now more than ever against all the attacks and criticism…. It’s looking more and more brilliant with how he books guys. Verses over booking a couple of guys all the time, over-saturating talent, and burying them in humiliating fashion….
He gives guys shine and the spotlight in waves and then let’s them breath a little leaving you wanting more.

I saw in another thread and I forgot which poster that said it…. But like they said, if say for whatever reason Roman, Brock, Sasha, or Becky walked away today. That would significantly hurt them.

When guys maybe start to drop off…. Barring it’s a mass drop off like 10 guys leaving at once. 1 or 2 won’t hurt them down the line.

Honestly though… the best way to probably get more AEW talent is to completely bend over for Cody giving him everything he wants and letter him do anything he wants to.

Cuz he already made it clear that if people come to him with questions, he’s gonna be honest. And I can see him turning some people away if he ever gets sour with the company.

Cody gonna be a double edge sword for them

One other thing to keep an eye out for, which hasn't really been talked about at all, is AEW's TV deal. Believe that ends at the end of 2023, so when they reup, it's going to be for more money which should provide TK more Adderall and money to sign bigger deals with talent.
