that is a huge loss for MS

not it's not....the game is multiplat....and because of the competitive scene like i said above....it will still sell like hot cakes on the Xbox....till leagues switch to the PS4 (won't happen...the console is already well established) COD will move units for MS.

Game will still sell the most on the Xbox One because of the competitive scene. Game needs a make over...badly.
:snoop:

The competitive scene is on xbox cause of the their contracts

They didn't think a bunch of bullshyt arcade titles was that important.
While sony didn't have any games, and gave away titles like Don't Starve :bryan:
I wouldn'

What are the games that sold so well anyway.. always a mystery with these dudes.

Obviously someone in this thread has not be reading zampella tweets, dude is always quick to say they did not sell to Microsoft, he wants his game on multiple systems, Respawn may have take that money to get off their feet, but the ammount of money Respawn and EA is missing out on is astronomical

no....The contract between Ms and Activision has nothing to do with the competitive scene lol. The players that make up the competitive community have been playing on the xbox since COD 2. They are used to playing on an XBOX. MLG (which runs the biggest COD leagues) have been using the xbox for years. They wont be switching to another platform because of MS and Activision. MS also supports the company. MLG doesnt run any game on the PS4....it's not a big platform for professional gaming (especially shooters) because of things like the controller, online and community.

Activision making the PS4 the lead console because they're emotional over Titanfall devs being buddy buddy with MS won't affect COD sales in any shape or form for the Xbox. The most the PS4 will get from this is exclusive content.....yay.

:what: how are Zampella, Respawn, and EA relevant to this thread?

The "competitive community" plays on the console that sponsors the game, events, etc..

Not really considering all the money Microsoft has put up and the fact that its a small team. They would have either had to hire a bunch more employees or work on the game for at least an extra year if they were releasing on ps3/4. They also would have to buy/rent their own servers and foot the bill for all the ads and promotion.

Either the game would be very different than it is today or respawn ea would have had to make a much larger investment. As it stands respawn came out of the deal on top. They got their money up front, Microsoft made their game as big as it is, and they still have ALL the control on what to do with their next game. I doubt they are regretting the deal at all.

The game is too established on the xbox for MS to stop supporting because they may lose out on exclusive or timed content. This activision thing has to have been known for a while now...yet MS just sponsored a $1 million COD tourney. MS will only lower their support for competitive COD when the game dies off...which may never happen. Xbox is the marquee console for competitive shooters. shyt ain't changing anytime soon.

If I was a league/company I wouldn't put too much faith into sony supporting my with the money needed to run tournaments. They are going through issues with money, I doubt they have bread to throw out and sponsor big events on the regular.

:what::mjlol: No but wishful thinking on your part.

Competitive gamers are participating because they get something in return (prizes, money, prestige, etc). They will go where all of those things go.

Why would MS want to support a franchise that would be legally obligated to display it's competitors logos and use it's competitors hardware? It's ok, it's not the end of the world.

Most gamers don't like Ghosts but you just said that MS recently sponsored a tournament...so which is it? They're dropping support when COD loses steam or they still need to pump the money in?
