I see yall caring a little too much about what white people think. :scust:Yall can have this thread and their acceptance that yall crave so much. Just know that we (assuming yall are really black also) will NEVER experience peace as long as we're cohabitating among whites. Yall can sit here and :ohhh:about why white media doesnt refer to their own in a derogatory way all yall want, but i already know the reason

If cats cared what white folks thought about us we'd all be cosignin you and your ridiculous theories about rap music being da reason for so many white people being a$$holes & callin us names.

You're quite confusin, jabroni.:francis:

Racist cop, I mean Law Enforcement Analyst, really justified the unfair treatment of blacks because we allegedly pull weapons in lieu of a wave of unarmed black men being killed by cops. Opening scene from Set It Off over and over. In the mist of 9 cacs killed, 170 detained, confiscated weapons and firearms, he is arguing that black communities bring police brute force on themselves.

1. N-n-n-n-n-no - don't change it, that's the word you wanted to use.

Why?

Ask youself - why is "mainly" the correct word to use there instead of "totally"?

2. Oh - we created "savage" too, now?

3. I won't deny for a second that hip-hop is powerful and influential.
For the record, i've never denied that once.

What i'm denying are ideas that:

"everything you post here is true"
you "do this out of love",
and hip-hop overall is "white supremists music".

I wasnt gonna change it. Was bein sarcastic. I :salute:you for admitting that rap is influential tho. We're getting somewhere now. Proud of ya. :obama:Thats way more than these other cats are willing to admit. To them, rap has zero influence:mjlol:

Son, this is no epiphany - i've always said music was influential. Many times.
It's supposed to be influential.

Now what about the rest of my post?
Do you think that rappers fathered the reference of black males as "thugs" and "savages" - or does that originate elsewhere?

They may not have fathered it but they promote it.
And that is the problem.

Havent watched the vid, will later but fukk it ill say it: the word "thug" is synonymous with black people mainly because of rap. You all know it. "Thug Life" "thug lovin", "www.thug.com" "thug holiday" and a host of many other song and album titles are a regularity in hiphop culture. Damn near every rap song has a "thug" reference. Not only is the reference there, its glorified. Rappers wear the "thug" badge with honor. Right now, one of the hottest rappers with one of the largest platforms to influence goes by the name of "Young Thug". The word "thug" isn't derogatory in rap. Its only derogatory when white people say it. When a white person does something bad and you all refer to him/her as a "thug" i chuckle a bit because i know yall are doing it tongue & cheek. Yall dont really believe it. It doesnt sound right referring to a white person as a "thug". You and i both know it. Be honest. You wont, but be honest. The image of a "thug" has been burned and branded ar that of a young, black male. When you see or hear the word "thug", your mind AUTOMATICALLY conjures up the image of a black male. I know ima get called a "c00n" again for speaking what everyone else is afraid to say, but oh well.:yeshrug: Im not a sheep. If we dont care what white folks think, then it shouldnt matter what they call us right? Im just letting yall know where they get "thug" from specifically. Rap,(which has PURPOSELY been manipulated to create the image of the "thug" as a black male) is the reason. @Cbanks36 @mrken12 @kp404 @Truth200 @Barnett114 @DarianaGrande @philmonroe @HankHill @Emperor_ReinScarf @Taadow @Matt504

Exactly...but with all due respect, I wasn't asking you. I was asking @PhonZhi.

I want him to say it.

are you wanting me to say that the word "thug" existed before rap was created? Well, yes sir. Im sure that the word "thug" was apart of the english language before rap was created. Your point please:lupe:
