You got people that absolutely HATES his guts, I hadn’t heard from Coach since he was doing Raw commentary and he coming out to shyt on Punk he gets people in their feelings to much it’s hilarious, yes he’s a real life a$$hole but you’d think he committed some crimes.

Then you have people who love him, think he’s the 2nd coming, will defend him at all costs and both his haters and his fans are very very vocal.

Even had one of his biggest fans on here do both.

I respect Punk for what he’s done for Wrasslin. He did Colt dirty, but at the end of the day I couldn’t give a shyt about how he is because he ain’t my damn friend.

This just makes me respect Cena that much more. Dude would get shot on three times per year for several years and just smile about it. Had a Rock cut a scathing promo on him in the mountains then climbed up that mountain for an in to the movie industry. Meanwhile Punk is unhappy about a shoot promo when he is the shootiest motherfukker around.

Maybe it's a work but if it isn't they need to go ahead and try to salvage the BS into a storyline. This is the Punk people want to see anyway and this is who he is. The "happy to be here for the fans" Punk was wearing thin on everyone, Punk included. He's abrasive and grouchy by nature so let him be that.

The big picture for AEW is they've been on cable TV for 3 years and Tony still can't produce a logical and coherent show to save his life. If that one unnamed source (that's obviously affiliated with the Page/Bucks camp, who have invested interest in maintaining the status quo) is correct and Punk is unhappy, you'd think more AEW fans would embrace one of the top stars trying to push the product in a direction that appeals to a wider audience.

And I still remember when wrestling fans used to embrace the backstage tension spilling onto the screen. Nowadays everyone's so quick to jump to extremes and cast everyone as heroes/villains that they can't even enjoy two talented guys making the shyt interesting again. Exactly how I feel, Phil is a miserable dude so it checks out but you can't tell me this isn't them leaning into a work to stir a buzz with All Out around the corner.
