Missed it live didn't get to watch it until early this morning. Just now getting around to posting about it. I can't recall the last time I was disappointed in a MitB event.

The men's match was good, but I think the women edged them out as putting on an overall better match. I mean the women had more noticeable botches but they seemed to be people lacking height to get where they were going or not having the right amount of momentum. Every time the Paul brother got jumped cracked me up. The dude is a good sport about all this despite how much of an a$$hole he comes off. That spot with him and Rico off the ladder to the ropes to the table was got damn. Man if they don't send LA Knight for Theory this Friday they are wasting time. LA Knight better be US Champ by the end of Summerslam. Priest was the right call for the winner of the men's match. I like that Iyo won the women's match just see her holding the briefcase for a while or some fukkery with Bayley trying to use it to cash in all the time. I think because of how shyt is crumbling around Rhea they gotta open something up. I mean another damn defense against Natalya? But, I'm guessing Becky is the Rhea match up to end the year. So Becky and Trish have a little more left to go in their feud. Which I'm okay with that because Thank You Trish. Which oooh the Goat was goatin last night.

The women's tag title match - oof. They clearly jumped the gun stripping Liv and Raquel with the injury. The turn for Shayna came out of nowhere. That was some man I'm tired of your ass just being around me. Look at you breathing all my air and shyt. Completely random, don't see how they can use this to make Shayna a face. Nor do I think Shayna can ever really be a face. She got heel vibes, a heel look, a heel personality, she's heel ass kicker that's all she'll be. But, she would be a solid match up for Rhea. So maybe she decides to say only she can beat Natalya's ass anytime she feels like it lol.

Gunther slapping the shyt out of Riddle's ankle before dropping in on that heel hook was hilarious. I don't mind Gunther vs McIntyre at Summerslam, but I hope either Gunther breaks the Honky Tonk Man's record by the defense. He's so close to it I feel they have to let him break it.

I didn't really pay attention to the Dom/Cody match. But, the crowd definitely loved Cody and his song.

I know it's early but I was really wanting to see Finn get the belt especially with Priest having the briefcase. I still Finn is getting the belt at some point in this mix. I just don't know if it's a case of him beating Seth and getting cashed in on the same night. Or some version of the JD turns on Finn and he's facing Priest down the line with Priest as champ.

The Bloodline delivers as always. I mean sure the London crowd was singing all the songs that you can sing last night. But, man they were amped up for the Uso's. That is one of the best Uso receptions I can ever recall. You could just tell from how hard the crowd was behind the Uso's we were going to get something great. Them chanting "this is bullshyt" when Roman stacked up the Uso's. Man this is some next level greatness. Also the Uso linking up hands after they kicked out, was a small thing but man it sold the moment even more. I want to say I hope someone somewhere has a the audio clip of the ref getting bumped out the ring. I cackled when he screamed as he went out. That was like some 80s movie villain getting shot and falling off a ledge sound "byaaah" :deadrose: . The Uso's keep getting reactions like this, maybe Jey will be the one to actually take the belt off Roman. But, I still feel that you can't trust the "White's" like this.
Shayna would be a proxy face just cause the crowd doesnt mess with Ronda like that anymore

It’ll be an underwhelming ending of an incredible journey to me, but the kids will love it I guess

He is next WM. :manny:

Not a good idea imo. It'd be better if Cody made the WHC title the big title and forget about the title Roman has currently.

His story is his path, not following his father's path. It would give him gravitas too. And if they want another Cody v Roman feud, then have Roman chase the WHC that Cody now holds and has made into the big title.

That is a better storyline imo.

We need to revisit these threads. Alot of this forum was loud wrong about WM and Elimination. Imagine Sami as champ now:heh:

I was right about it being a terrible idea for Roman to be dethroned by Cody or Sami.

I can't be blamed for Triple-mid burying Montez.

I mean it makes sense storyline wise...while Cody is going through his trial tribulations on Raw. Roman is having his journey on Smackdown.

By the time it circles back to Mania Cody is going to be a new man, rejuvenated, and ready for whatever comes at him. While Roman up to this point will be a hanging on by a thread and is pretty much mentally and physically at his breaking point.

Both of them will not be the same men as before.

Which is in a way masterful storytelling, which we don’t get in wrestling a lot. ESPECIALLY within WWE. If Triple H and his crew pull this off and stick this landing. This will be remembered in history as the greatest wrestling storyline of all time.

I don’t disagree with anything you’re saying. I would personally rather it be Jey or even Solo to take buddy down but realistically I know I’m probably asking for a lot.

And Cody scorching hot, moving shirts like young Jeezy when can’t ban the snowman dropped.. so I’ll let it rock. Won’t be one of them internet tantrum because the show didn’t play out how I fantasized types

Just know, a cody championship run gon get old quick!

Oh off top…it’s gonna be Phase 4 of the MCU status..

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if after Mania, Roman disappears until Summerslam.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Give Jey that SummerSlam title shot. And while I'm still 70/30 on Roman retaining at SS, I wouldn't mind seeing Jey get the title. It'd be a good bookend to this three-year Bloodline story, but I sense it's going to continue until Roman has nothing left but Heyman in his corner.

I thought PPV was slightly above average, outside of the Bloodline match. That match totally delivered and they really had the guts to pin Roman. Whether it was a good decision or not is up to debate. I was just enjoying the match.

Outside of that match however, there was a lack of interesting matchups. No Sammi/KO, no Ripley match neither. You mean to tell me they had a Gunther/Riddle and Cody/Dominic for a PPV? Get outta here. These two are your standard Monday Night Raw matches. Sure when you have the event in London, the crowd is gonna go crazy over everything. They made PPV look much greater than it actually was.

Usos pinning Roman.... Is Cody story done? They marketed him as the guy who will beat Roman. But now Usos already beat him, even if the match wasn't for championship belts.

The men's MITB match was OK....Logan Paul is funny as hell taking crazy bumps and playing heel character well. That spot with Ricochet and Logan landing on tables was nasty.
Priest winning the match was a boring safe bet win. WWE basically sticking with their plan I get it. It's obvious WWE did not expect LA Knight to go over with the fans so well quickly. They were cheering every time he hit his opponent. They better do something with him in Smackdown, because if he has to continue jobbing for other guys, they might as well let him go to AEW, cause they damn sure need more wrestlers who can cut a promo.

Priest winning the match made Balor vs Seth match totally predictable. You know Priest was gonna come out with the briefcase and cost Balor the match, There already was some slight tension between those two.

Women's MITB match was good, I liked the ending, that was smart lol, finally something that isn't a generic ending in those briefcase matches.

With Usos pinning Roman (great great match) this makes entire Cody story now underwhelming. That's it, Roman got pinned, even if it wasn't for a championship belt. Cody was marketed as that golden boy who will finally beat Roman and end all those streaks. The mystery is gone.

Cody actually took the biggest L in that PPV. His whole storyline now looks damn near useless if we think about it. Sammi initiated the breakup of Bloodline, KO played his small part, now Usos doing big things. And what is Cody's contribution to the Bloodline story? Nothing, besides being just another wrestler who lost to Roman.

They are gonna ride the Bloodline story till the wheels fall off, which they should, but if they are seriously thinking of putting championship belts on Cody....they are gonna need some genius strategy, because this fukking guy now needs his image to be rebuilt again :mjlol: He's no longer the chosen one or whatever the fukk they tried to market him as.

Cody over as ever, people love him. He can stay his ass over there on raw and get it cracking with Seth or something. The kids will eat up anything he does

Cody is over now, and people love him now, they won't love him like that next year. The mystery is gone. 1000+ days of Roman streak got ended by his relatives. That's who he chose to lose (or vince chose that for him, who cares).

Cody made his career in indies/AEW, after that shytty Stardust era in WWE. He's an AEW guy. Vince, or whoever is calling shots in WWE now, was not gonna let an AEW guy have that magic moment of pinning Roman after 1000+ days. It was given to one of their own talents who had best years in their own company.
