If you just rolled up on a kid like you bout to do a drive by shooting there's no telling how he would react. Hell he probably wanted to take the gun and throw on the ground. The key thing is. These cops were not TRANSPARENT.

My situation, the cop walked calmly to me and asked me politely if the gun was real. He had his hand on his holster just in case. Why couldn't they do the same with this 12 year old kid?

I already watched it.....read my previous posts. I already explained how they could've possibly still had time to warn him during their fast approach....

As for the warning they claimed they gave the kid to put his hands up.....I tried to say "put your hands up" 3 times, between the time the car pulled up in front of the kid, and the time the kid got shot......it can be done, but you'd have to say it pretty fast (which could've been the case in what they saw as a high-risk situation; also they claimed the car door was already open as they said it)....of course, there's no audio to tell whether or not they actually warned him....

Someone said something earlier along the lines of "even if the cops heard the gun was PROBABLY fake, there was still a chance of it being real and they still had to be careful"....okay, fair enough. They could still approach cautiously, aim their guns at him and yell out a clear warning. But did they actually give him a clear warning to put his hands up? We don't know for sure.....but that's where their fast approach bites them in the ass .....

The average person will look at that video, see them shooting him literally one second after exiting the car , and wonder how the fukk they had time to even warn him in that second. Mind you, it's POSSIBLE that they did warn him in that small window of time as they rolled up on him....but it still isn't a good look on that video at all

Cops are supposed to be trained to actually put themselves in dangerous situations and switch things around (aka de-escalating situations). Proof of that is how the cop who shot the kid was the rookie while the other cop didn't even have his gun out.

A lot of men would shoot a baby if they got startled by one with a gun on their hands. Cops are the people supposed to not get startled by a baby in the first place, feel me? They have to train their reaction time to make the best decisions possible because otherwise they may as well just be the average joe fukking up and not paying for their mistakes.

And where did you get this idea that one of the dangerous situations that cops are 'supposed' to put themselves in, is allowing a suspect to get the jump on them and pull out a gun/aim it at them? Especially one who was seen aiming it at random passing persons earlier?

Is that something in law? Is that something that you can prove is usually taught to cops in the U.S.? Or is that just your opinion?

And I don't know where you're getting that 'baby' scenario from, because it's not even close to the same thing as a 12-year-old. A 12-year-old can still intentionally and unlawfully shoot you with the quickness if he wanted....again, especially one who was seen earlier pointing a (fake) gun at random persons.....

The dangerous situation they're supposed to be putting themselves in, is approaching such a person in the first place, and trying to stop/detain them. THAT'S their job. Their job isn't to unnecessarily put their lives at risk beyond that....otherwise, they wouldn't have guns to use as part of their duty.....

And the other cop shooting isn't proof of anything. No need for him to shoot when the suspect is already down by the other officer. Also, not every cop is gonna have the exact same reaction time in a 'justifiable shooting' situation, anyway. Also.....the cop that shot the kid, was in the other cop's way inside the car, since he was between that cop and the kid while exiting the car.....so it's not like the other cop had the option to safely shoot the kid right then and there. Also.....it looks like the other cop might have been the driver (not 100% sure on this), meaning he had to take a second or two to make sure the car was in park before exiting.....another delay that would've caused him to not shoot as quickly......
