Come on bruh.....
But you right though...
I grew up in and only really knew about East Cleveland, I never even been to the "nice parts" of Cleveland until after I had moved and came back
The whole time I lived there when everybody was saying East Cleveland I just thought that was what side we lived on. It wasn't until I moved that I realized its actually its own city...
From what I heard it wasn't always that bad llike before the mid 80s and early 90s. But crack truly destroyed that whole city
I heard the same thing. It's crazy how quickly the city change in less then a couple blocks. You have e. 123 near the cemetery and down ( lets say stokes blvd) which is relatively decent ( nice area, progressive, new building, business very prominent area of the city IMO) and then a little after the cemetery it completely change. Lakeview to down to e.200 is so damn depressing that it really hurts to even think that we ( as a community) are living like that
This is not to suggest that each and every African American in the country is living like that but damn b.
I can't really talk too much because I live in Collinwood ( which isn't the best neighborhood, but still... atleast we have Kim's lol)
