My ex is basically virgin she only fukked her ex bf and me, now she's a born again no sex, attractive, educated in medical school. She wifey material but she doesn't realize........... you gotta have something to make a nikka stay around.

if she's in medical school 5 states away, and when she visits she don't wanna fukk, then.... she ain't cutting it. I can deal with a virgin I see everyday but does other things like cooks and cleans strokes my ego. But dealing with a chick like Yvonne, who always traveling, not around to have sex with OR atleast cook. That's not happening.

Exactly, but sadly this is how woman are raised in the 1st generation Nigerian community (very different from back home).
"Become a doctor, lawyer, engineer, build up your career etc and you should be able to pull any man..."

But none of that makes you a better wife.
I'm not shytting on my people for following their dreams, but I'll let my sister tell it, her being a doctor and running her own clinic and working 7 days a week makes her very unavailable and her relationships fail because of it.

women bullshyt with their vocalized preferences, but aside from the Yoruba requirement (too specific), her expectations are reasonable for someone with her level of success.

Yvonne Orji, the breakout star of HBO's new show Insecure, stopped by the studio on Friday to talk with 'The Breakfast Club'. Yvonne talked about playing a sexually free character named Molly on the show while being a 32-year-old virgin in real life. Yvonne also talked about her Nigerian roots, strong faith, and her first big break.

Cliff notes:

-Says she's a virgin at 32 years of age and waiting until marriage
-Explains being saved by the words of a preacher sista at her university
-Says it's a choice because she's religious
-Discusses the type of men she's into:

Must be religious, Nigerian, Yoruba, college educated, preferably a lawyer or a doctor because her parents are traditional Africans who want her to marry well.

Which one of yall men will make an honest woman out of Yvonne, brehs?

:whoo::whoo::whoo:

She had me fooled with those scenes though :troll:.

Yeah I was gonna say...I'm all for purity pledges and whatnot, but aren't they just an outward symbol/display of an inner pledge you've made within your mind/body/soul? If so, the way she was thrusting her hips back and forth on ol' buddy kinda nullifies that for me. Maybe I'm looking at it too deep...but ain't that the point? :patrice: It's not the same as playing a racist character but not being racist, or any other character that sways from your actual real life persona because those people aren't claiming a level of "purity". In fact, if you're an actor, for the most part you have no purity because you have to expose yourself to thoughts, ideals and actions that are not pure in order to get into character and play said character with a level of integrity.

:mjlol: Breh its a catch 22 everyone wants their daughter to be successful but theyre not thinking about the dating environment. If I had a daughter I'd tell her to shoot for the starts but be realistic. If you know you're career oriented woman you need to find a simp, overly nice nikka while shes IN COLLEGE. Who only wants to support her. A guy who is attractive, ambitious, with a strong personality will only replace a wife who is never at home, doesn't cook or clean and is only about her career. esp if he's Nigerian

only other option for those type of Nigerian American-British-Canadian women are non- Nigerian dudes- who definitely cheat also Lazy also but no one hears about it because they aren't technically part of Nigerian community.

With the life that Yvonne lives(Hollywood+Money), shes better of dating a white dude- who will probably cheat or be lazy but at least her family and friends won't know about it. :mjpls:

The other problem with raising west African daughters this way is the taboo of having a bf/gf while you're in school. Then your parents expect you to finish school and go from never having dated in your life to marriage in a year :mjlol:. You get a bunch of highly accomplished pretty women who are terrible partners because they never dated

I swear black women only think that doctors or lawyers are successful the only successful professionals in the business world.

Well, then I'm guessing that you haven't met any Asians or Indians then. Because with them a doc or lawyer is #1 and if you aren't one then you can forget about it. They won't even acknowledge your existence.
