Classics Discussion: MF DOOM & Madvillain

Would say Doomsday and Madvillain are absolute classics.

Geedorah/Mm...Food and JJ Doom were all amazing to me, rest all very very good.

Operation Doomsday & Madvillainy are his classics.

MM..FOOD & Vaudeville Villain are great albums.

Take Me To Your Leader, DangerDOOM & Born Like This are good albums.

Such a incredible catalogue

I think Madvillainy and MM Food are classics...Madvillainy more so because no matter how underground it was it still ended up being heard in the mainstream(Adult Swim, Boondocks)

Doomsday is a classic to me, some of my favorite DOOM songs are on there(Red and Gold, Hey!, I Hear Voices)

Vaudeville Villain and Take Me To Your Leader were dope (Fazers being my favorite DOOM song)

I don't like madvillainy. I couldn't vote for it. My bad.

I didn't like it for about 4-5 years after it dropped.

Just curious, do you think it's possible to consider something great even if it's not your taste?

I don't like 3-6 Mafia at all, but I understand that they have classic material and have contributed a lot to the game over the years.

I think most people think that at least Madvillainy is better than Stillmatic

Nobody is questioning Stillmatic's impact or relevance, more so the quality

Alright y'all in addition to this thread I have re-opened the Too Short and Gang Starr album threads

Check the original classics thread posted in the OP to see the new rules, but just to re-iterate

If after a certain time frame for voting we still don't reach 75 votes, the albums currently considered classics will lose out on classic status, even if they clear the 80% acceptance rate

So get voting if you haven't already, and tag anyone you know

Nas has two classics and Stillmatic definitely ain't one of them.

Madvillainy is classic and you could make an argument for MM.. Food and Operation: Doomsday as well. All three of those are better than Stillmatic.
