I listened to The Marshall Mathers LP a few weeks back. A lot of great tracks on that album ("Stan," "The Real Slim Shady," "The Way I Am," "I'm Back," "Criminal," "Marshall Mathers," "Remember Me," "Amityville," "bytch Please II," "Who Knew") and it was definitely Eminem's most cohesive and focused album. That has to be a classic.

I haven't listened to the SSLP and The Eminem Show, but from the tracks I've listened to, both albums sound like classics. That's all I'm giving him because there's no way you can have a classic album when you have "Just Lose It" and "Ass Like That." Neither of those songs are funny or entertaining in the way his usual comedic lead singles are, they just plain suck. I don't want to say Eminem wasn't trying because if that was the case, "Like Toy Soldiers" and "Mockingbird" would have never made the album. Drugs just got a hold of him to the point where he lost focus and could no longer make a great album. That's Eminem's main problem these days. He CANNOT make a great album anymore.

Charlamagne tha God always says that because Eminem is white, people underrate him. After going through the millions of Shady threads on here, I have to agree. How can somebody make songs like "Role Model," "Still Don't Give a fukk," "Stan," "The Way I Am," "Lose Yourself," "'Til I Collapse," "White America," and "Cleanin' Out My Closet" yet people still call him trash, deny him of his talent, and say he has absolutely no classic albums? That's just disgusting to me and it means that you seriously have this overwhelming fear or hatred of white people to the point where you can't even put your bias aside. I used to think Eminem was nothing special, just a gimmick rapper with a few good songs. Then I got older, listened to his older stuff, and realized what I was missing out on. His storytelling, impeccable rhyme schemes, sense of humor, social commentary, and self-awareness was too much to ignore. He has serious talent and always will. You're not going to lose your so-called "hip hop pass" if you think Eminem is on the Nas/Jay/Pac/Big level. At least three of those guys are overrated as fukk, but you'll never see people act like they have no classics. Em being white has always been a gift and a curse.

Another thing is that people act like Eminem is rapping about raping extraterrestrials on every song he does and sampling fart noises and cocaine snorts. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT HE IS DOING IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY?! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but the point is, most of what Eminem talks about is no different than any other rapper. People see the white skin and think that all he does is string words together and only talks about killing Kim and taking drugs. For every "Kill You," there's a "The Way I Am." I'm black and I can relate to Eminem sometimes. It's not impossible, get your heads out of your asses for once and quit the biased nonsense.

I don't even care anymore. It just makes me mad sometimes that all people do on this site is bash Eminem for everything he does and treat him differently from other rappers who fell off similar to how he did. You see all the endorsements from Dre, the "Without Me"-style comedy singles, and think that he is nothing more than a pop rapper with no substance. No, that's what Iggy Azalea is, Eminem has earned his place amongst the best in hip hop. He came out of absolutely nothing, rapped about his insecurities and frustrations with the world and people who tried to label him as a joke because of his skin color. He was aware of his image and white privilege and never once denied it. He's made songs that have a point and have emotional resonance. He might not have club tracks, but that doesn't matter to me. That was never his lane in the first place. So I want to know right now, what really makes him that different from the average rapper?

Charlamagne is a c00n, and given what you're typing, so are you. In real life, people don't underrate White people. That's not how this goes.

You're the biggest c00n on this site, we all know that. And this isn't about underrating white people, this is about Eminem being left out of serious hip hop discussions off flimsy reasons like "his tracks don't have appeal in the club" or "I can't relate to his subject matter." If you don't like the guy, I can deal with that, but these so-called "purists" always try to deny him of his talent.

Eminem's music is trash. Get over it. You're in here typing essays on "Blacks practice reverse-racism when they don't give Em his props". Stacey Dash ass nikka. I'm calling you a nikka.... you could be White for all I know.

SirBiatch is Black. 100%. Verified.

I'm black, you idiot. And if you're really comparing me to Stacey Dash, then you don't understand what I was trying to say at all.

I could give a fukk what Eminem's race is. If he was black and people still weren't giving him props, I would address it because it's about recognizing talent. Nobody ever talks about Brother J from X-Clan but he was dropping gems on To the East, Blackwards. Why isn't he recognized more?

I see what you're doing but I honestly don't care. Eminem's not even in my top five, but his work puts him in that higher category of rappers. It's not hard to understand what I was getting at. But hey, I'm not looking for an argument with the WOAT poster. :usure:

That's why you're still responding and negging, right? :mjlol:

I am the WOAT poster. Get used to it. :umad:

Growing up I always felt MMLP was his best album but in recent years I spend way more time listening to TES. I think I'd still rank MMLP over TES, but I think TES has better replay value

Not an Em fan but I voted yes for MMLP. Its the album that made him a superstar, helped cement Aftermath's place in the game, and paved the way for them to sign 50. It was a very important album as far as impact and influence and for better or worse influenced a whole generation of white rappers. He even coined the name we use to describe die hard fans

:what:

theres so much wrong with this post.
