But for me the holy grail is Music to Driveby. That was literally a gangbanging film on wax and it was effectively an Eiht solo as well.

Im a fan of MTD but it suffers from the same fate as any pre Chronic album

i didnt catch the wave...born in 83...Chronic was my intro..

i love albums prior to 92...but i can never appreciate it because of my age

MTD may "objectively" be better than WCS but WCS was up my alley my generation my sound all that

What made you rate them as classics?

Section 8 is my personal fav of the two, but that classic West Coast production and Eiht rapping about the hood is why. He's got a lot of dope records.

might be the artist's lack of popularity so I'll try and find someone I haven't done that is maybe a little more guaranteed to do more numbers and assess from there

but I'm not in my posting prime

it'd only be a classic cause of impact and influence in my eyes, i only like about half the album

It got 4 mics in the source back in the day, which was pretty much unheard of for any west coast gangsta album that didn't come out of Death Row so not really..
