I would say the Shadowrun series, definitely Power Stone, Samurai Shodown, Breath of Fire, Suikoden, Streets of Rage, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Final Fight, Battletoads, old school Ninja Turtles, the Mega Man X series, Super Mario rpg, and Secret of Mana.
