They really were super similar and yet very different as well. No wonder they initially got on so well but fell out because of their fundamental differences in their own POV plus the fuel poured on their beef by those around them who had their own reasons.

I do think Pacs head was F'd with on purpose in jail but Big didn't help his case the way he was moving.
Both were Geminis.

Its interesting how Big after Pac left was moving with the bravado he associated with him and same arrogant confidence that he couldn't be touched. It was like Pacs past was Bigs future in that respect as Baltimore "Never call ladies the B word" Pac was "Quiet as a church mouse whizzing on cotton" Big when it all went left.

The fact R2D dropped on the day Pac did is just

all things considered. Almost enough to make you think reality is scripted.

Publicly, from someone looking from the outside, it all seemed very different.

He went from downplaying to accentuating and there is an obvious shift away from when Pac was breathing and Bigs team in the marine blue coupe does what it did. No way in hell he flies to LA and drops Long Kiss without Pacs death. No way at all.

The entire LAD record would've been quite different as well, that I'm willing to bet as the scathing songs were penned after Pac left. Quite telling.

In one breath you call Pac delusional while at the same time ignoring Big being delusional for getting himself clapped for not being able to read the room.

Which is it? Wasn't Big a street dude? How could he not see what he was doing could be fatal?

You're letting your emotions cloud your mind from thinking clearly.

Again, you don't know what really happened between Pac and Big, so cut the BS. You forget these cretins were drug dealing dirtbags who murk and rob each other all the time.

I wouldn't believe a word they say on anything :laff:
You don’t know me or who I know or what circles I ran in bro… it’s evident you ain’t even trying to have a convo on both these dudes mind stats which I mentioned

Pac Delusional, Big/Puff Naive hence when I said they did themselves no favors…

I knew exactly who them nikkas was they was running with.. it wasn’t a big secret

some of these east coast nIkkas show less accountability than a bytch when it comes to this subject

If big didnt attempt to run a victory lap in LA so soon after Pac died, going around spiting Long Kiss verses like LA nikkas wouldnt notice while "going back to cali" as his single. LEt's not forget he basically greenlit the trailer of some crip nikkas gettin shot up before Pac was in the picture. live on air. You think them LA Crip nikkas fogot about that? Oh wait, even before that....how about recklessly running his mouth about E-40 then going to his stomping grounds to perform only to be lined up and fortunately granted mercy, He clearly had a history of habitual line-stepping and being arrogant enough to play games with Cali nikkas like they wouldnt do shyt.

Pac's flaws are on full display, the bullshyt you nikkas come up with to portray Biggie as the angelic, innocent dude that just wanted to spit harmless raps and uphold hip hop is disingenuous.

The nikka moved grimey and was just as gassed up from being around real killers as you like to say Pac was, and it cost him his life.

just leave it at , "RIP to two legends" and stop fighting message board wars from 20 years ago....It's over, go raise your kids and stop picking at old scabs.

This.

People forget about the e40 thing. 40 wasn't fukking around.

I will add that conversations like this thread usually go nowhere because it's hard for some people to be genuine when discussing their favorite artists. People pick a side like it's sports and just act disingenuous.

I was a teenager when they died and saw it through a fans eyes. As an adult...I see they both did some lame, shady, fronting shyt at times and they both contributed to the outcome.

When you bark on a dude like Jimmy Henchman there are repercussions you need to be prepared for. When you take a passive aggressive victory lap in your opponent's city...there will be repercussions. Doesn't take sun tzu deduction skills to see that shyt coming for both of them lol.

I will say Puff did a masterful job painting badboy as angels (the I'll be missing you shyt with sting, the we just wanna make you dance vibe) when they did a lot of grimy shyt. Yet decades later an uniformed narrative exists of them being naive angels caught up in the madman's pac's worldwind....laughable.

Also I'm looking at this as a 40 year old man who saw it play out. Put me in my 20s with millions, and goons on payrolls, and gangsters involved, and egos, and paranoia, and the evil of thr music industry....I probably would have fukked it up too. So part of me gives Big and Pac a pass for that.

Let the two legends rest in peace.

No one is in denial. It's easy to say this or that is a lie 20 + years versus when things are happening in real-time.
Biggie released who shot ya as a clear marketing stunt to capitalize off of the Quad shooting drama. He also almost got snoop and dpg killed in NY and Pac or Death Row didn't even acknowledge Biggie or puffy at that point in time.
It's just incredibly ironic that you're talking about lies and narratives when you skip half of the timeline and re-arrange events from 94-96 just to favor Biggie ...
:mjlol:

why do you keep saying this fukking lie
I told you a million & one times - the song was made months before Quad
and they only release the song ‘who shot ya’ after pac implicated biggie and puff in the Vibe mag

Always felt that Who Shot Ya was dropped on the orders of those Pac spoke against to send a message. The fact the record was already on deck is irrelevant as the timing speaks volumes.

Big was a mouthpiece in that respect. How do you Juelz the "Who shot ya?" diss in the Dead Presidents video, out of interest.

Here’s the thing which sort of disconnects me as someone who is Big’s age it was in the mix from what you guys are talking about. The streets dictated what was hot back then in hip hop and that was the real “release” date.

So when you say “who shot ya” was dropped on the orders…

First of all… Big had NO pull in bad boy to dictate what was going to be dropped.

Second… The real release date for songs was considered to be songs played on mix tapes, stretch and Bobbito, those things. Those were New York release dates. The buzz was already on the streets for that song before Pac got clapped.
