I’ve been watching this man in movies all my life. From I’m Gonna Git You Sucka to Deep Cover to Tales From the Hood to Sugar Hill to Hoodlum to American Gangster. He’s always been there. Feel like I just lost an uncle.

godspeed. One of the great character actors of my day. His role as romellos father in sugar hill was poetry. Outside of the music, and Morris day, I thought he outshone every body in purple rain in the small role he had. Link was an iconic role too. One of my favorite actors.
