You're making a false equivalency. Democrats have been appointing judges who are exactly as strongly in line with Democrat values as the Republican judges are in line with theirs. There just aren't enough of them.

The only way to do otherwise is expand the courts. But the Democrats are on the verge of losing the Senate, so if they expanded the courts then the Republicans could just flip it the same way in the next term. Affirmative Action wouldn't even have time to come back in that period because it would take years for another case to reach the Supreme Court, so all you'd get is an even more politicized court where whoever held the Senate/Presidency added seats to force the court to do whatever they want. Thus we'd be fukked unless the Democrats DID win every election for the next 30-40 years.

You don't think through this shyt at all. Their plan might work, while there is literally no reasonable scenario where your plan works.

What is your plan for "pushback"? What exactly did you expect them to do? I'm still waiting to hear an actual strategy beyond "don't vote Democrat".
You know what there isn’t a good answer for that cause I’m at the point where whoever you vote fair really ain’t going to be much different, I know yall like to make fun of both sides and it’s a joke to yall but yall can’t dispute what’s been literally happening since before I was born, like I mentioned before they killed AA and about to kill brown vs education, fukk a judge what is elected officials right now who relied and took for granted the black vote going to do about that

The only answer I got is somehow change the general neoliberal leadership in both parties so we can stop having bullshyt candidates in these elections, cause who going to run in another four years, desantis, them racist Indians, Nancy pelosi nephew, fake black Kamala, and I didn’t even mention the non presidential races

This Supreme Court issue is part of a bigger issue in American politics

Y’all not concerned about this pattern we been in for the last several decades, these people literally trying to fukk us over for years but yet they the only folks qualified to be in offices and outliers can’t do anything because them people run politics so they have to answer to them?

Trump is facing how many charges? Accused of trying to steal elections(not playing fair). Yet you all actually believe these judges he appointed are honorable? And will actually follow the letter of the law. You even said Clarence Thomas has been comprimised politically. So there is literally zero reason to trust that the court hasnt already been politicized. Unless you are naive and blind enough to continue to think the GOP are playing the game fair.

I have no idea WTF you think you are talking about. I never said that Trump appointed honorable judges, I said he pushed judges in line with GOP values. I have no idea what you're trying to argue with the rest of that.

Democrats had no issue changing filibuster rules when the GOP showed itself unwilling to play fair during Obamas tenure(came back to bite them:mjlol:).

They did have an issue doing it, which is why it took them three years to do it. And as you point out, it DID come back to bite them. So why would you think it would be a good idea to make a similar mistake now?

But its their fault they lost to Trump,if they hadnt this is a whole different situation.

I completely agree it is there fault. Probably was your fault too though, so there's that.

How is that not better than telling voters to make sure Democrats win the presidency for the next 2 to 3 decades in HOPES somebody quits or dies. So that the then president can appoint one:mjlol:?

You're being disingenuous. Sam Alito and Clarence Thomas are 74 and 75, where are you getting "2 to 3 decades" from?

So your just making excuses as to why they shouldnt expand the court. Expand the court, then you can tell voters you need us to keep a democratic president and senate in order to maintain.

All of that is a moot point because there was zero chance that Manchin/Sinema would vote to expand, so they don't have the votes to do it anyway.

Do a search for "neoliberal" or "establishment democrats" under my name, and see whether I'm concerned about that or not. I've argued over and over it's the main thing we need to change.

So the evidence shows that the Democrats could have kept him out of office, but 11 Democrats decided to vote yes on him, giving the Republicans the numbers they needed to place this poison pill on to the Supreme Court.

We as a people have to see the entire picture and not just the picture we are told to pay attention to. If the Democrats were of one accord on the issue of his candidacy, Clarence Thomas would have never been a Supreme Court Justice. They had the numbers to deep six his him, but again 11 choose not to. There is a lesson in this for us, and I suggest the lesson is that those who are suppose to represent our interests need to be vetted better than what we have been doing in the past. We can't just assume that a D next to the name means that person actually represents the desires of the people they claim to want to serve. So more needs to be done than just voting Blue no matter Who.

Breh talking like an intellect while being nothing but a useful idiot for @UpNext amd both side pro-Trump house nicca squad trying to deflect and misdirect the topic for their own political agendas.

This thread is about Clarence damn Thomas and the Supreme Court Justices making active arguments against civil rights laws today. Not 11 Democrats from 30-something years ago.

Tired of fake militant niccas that still think they saying something new and profound bringing up "these Democrats tho" everytime Republicans and Republicans alone show their entire asses. It almost comes off as a cowardly attempt to downplay and avoid directly confronting what these Republicans are doing. Tired of this lazy barberbershop babble being passed off as intellectual political thought.

To be fair, those 11 Democrats were almost entirely conservative Democrats (which was still a thing back then).

Most Democrats voted against him, and almost all Republicans voted for him (and a Republican president nominated him).

Don't bother explaining political nuances to the barbershop intellects. Protesting Democrats over everything seems to be the only way they know how to navigate politics. Anything beyond that and they are completely lost and perplexed.

Their next solution to this issue is to stop voting Democrat and give Republicans even more power to take the courts and change laws. They have literally no other understanding of how politics works besides being useful stooges for the very party coming after us.

Like the breh @Piff Perkins said, political anti-intellectualism has just taken over a good segment of our community. With all the clear signs that the Republican Party is 100% prepared to go ahead with a full scale, fascist right wing, anti-rights takeover of the government if given another round of executive power, I just have to accept the dummies in our community who have latched on to pseudo smart-dumb shyt about "Democrats" as their only way of navigating these confusing times.

So he's a coli poster but with power and influence

It really just comes to show you how fake pro-black house nicca c00n thinking has hardly changed. shyt reads exactly like any @Rakim Allah @HarlemHottie or @TripleAgent post.

Black people "doing for themselves, as a separate community" "negotiating with Republicans sometimes" "spreading our votes" and conspiracies about the sneaky "white liberal" tricking and fearmongering us into protecting our own rights.

Their new strategy is to downplay any existing or pursued civil rights laws that are not "sPecIfIcaLlY fOr adOs BlaCK aMeRiCAns!" in order to justify dismantling it.

These c00ns are slick.

You just gotta vote harder :damn:

Yeah nicca, we do.

You got what you wanted in 2016. ADOS "movement" and all its "fukk Dems" simple minded rhetoric was spreading online. Black voter turnout dipped tremendously from an all-time high in 2012. Black folks stayed home. We got Trump. We got his Supreme Court picks. And we got AA abolished overnight.

If we had a President Hillary Clinton, we wouldve gotten at least three liberal Supreme Court picks, and affirmative action/DEI laws--WHETHER "SPECIFICALLY" FOR YOU OR NOT--would not only still be here, they'd be strengthened. Being the "covert racists" you know those nasty liberals are.

But you, @Rakim Allah and the rest wanted your "racism out in the open" so that we know how to adequately confront racism head on!

Well here it is. Heres your racism out in the open. What's you @Rakim Allah and the rest of the hashtag proud to be an American crew's next step? A repeat of 2015? To keep not voting and give Republicans more power? Then blame Democrats?

Bunch of pro-Trump scumbags using pro-black language for your own agendas. Ima keep stepping on you. p*ssy. You don't give a fukk about black people and you a black-white supremacist Republic00n working against us just like Thomas.

Man the fact that AA been shut down without any pushback says a lot about the democratic leadership in they respective offices and what they agendas may be, like it’s crazy to me democrats feet haven’t been held to the fire more just from that alone

And they had opportunities to do something. About the courts, I refuse to accept these excuses/passes they giving democrats about that and they got to nerve to say “well vote harder”, like what the fukk has dems been doing this whole time when they seen the republicans trying to reverse shyt

That’s why I think dems okay with what’s going on in the courts cause they for damn sure acting like they don’t give a fukk so once the reverse brown vs education and maybe gay marriage and some moe shyt they need to put all that “blame voters” energy into these officials in seats now

Democrats pre-election: WE NEED TO WIN SO THAT WE CAN KEEP REPUBLICANS FROM THE SUPREME COURT.

Coli niccas: no tangible no vote! We need to sop blindly giving our votes to Dem! What have Dems done specifically for black American, ADOS! Dems tryna fearmonger us again! They covert racists. I want my racism out in the open! Why can't black people be Republican? We need to leverage our votes!!

**Republicans take office. Appoint supreme court justices. Rip apart affirmative action**

Coli niccas: WHY DIDNT DEMOCRATS STOP THEM!? :damn:

Yall loud mouth barbershop babbling idiots just don't understand politics man. What do yall want? You can't protest and disadvantage Democrats because they aint magically giving you "specifically" what you want and than be mad and blame them when the other side comes in and destroys everything you have. It's like yall have the mentality of needy clueless toddlers when it comes to government. Democrats have a plan to fight Republicans, and it's to raise awareness on the threat of Republicans. Mobilize voters, including black voters. And WIN. And take power. And stop their agenda.

Something people like you denounce as "shilling" and then wanna bytch about what Democrats gonna do to stop Republicans at the same time.

Jesus be a 4th grade civics lesson man.
