My hot take: If Jimmy drags this to 7 he is an undisputed top 5-8 player and no lower.

scoring, assist, rebounding, defense. Playing both sides of the foot. Guarding the other teams best player. Carrying this Miami team who was a 5th seed. Leadership/mental toughness. Clutch. Numbers damn near identical to Lebrons.

Going against 2 top 5 players in the game with injuries on your team and your second best player hobbled in Bam, who’s a young cat himself. Your third best player could be Duncan Robison or a rookie on any given night. If this goes 7, You can’t deny Jimmy nomore. You can’t do it now but especially if they drag lebron through the final game of this series.

Congrats Heat on your championship. :francis:

I see the writing on the wall. Every time Lebron has a monster game and he doesn't win he checks out the rest of the series.

Strategically, Lakers' biggest problem is they're letting Jimmy get to the line too often and he's pretty much getting whatever he wants on offense, not sure why Vogel let AD concede off Jimmy switches so often tonight

I think they need to start doubling Jimmy on dribble and force him to make a pass early, I get it's pick ur poison when you double him and Duncan Herro and Crowder are on the floor but those looks are typically going to be 35-37% shots, Jimmy inside is a crisp 45-47% right now. You also should trust your stellar perimeter D that they can make good recoveries and closeouts.

All in all though the Lakers lost tonight because the roleplayers didn't come out to play on both ends of the floor. Only 40 points from players not named AD or Bron on 30% shooting, and the Lakers ran 9 deep. Meanwhile, Crowder, Duncan, Herro, and Nunn all in double figures, Duncan 7-13 from 3. Simply not good enough
