This joker situation reminds me how the grizz with Gasol/Randolph, Duncan and Robinson and David West/Chandler (NO) would give Dirk fits cause he couldn't hide on defense. He had to guard, bang and rebound if he matched up defensively on the PF or Center position...there was no where for his ass to hide.

Same here with Joker....AINT NO WHERE TO HIDE. He either got to guard AD, LBJ, Howard or Mcgee...and guard the paint.

So basically he has to do shyt he does not want or like to do.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. "Nothing worse than a soft Big." You were born 7ft+ for a reason..to dominate on both sides of the glass. (That goes for AD too)
Dwight was out there playing like somebody told him," If you lose, you gotta be monogamous for the rest of your life." :francis:

As soon as the second quarter started the Lakers kicked it into another gear and the Nuggets never adjusted.

Even though AD was amazing, the player of the game hands down was Dwight fukking Howard. He was special on both sides of the floor. He got into Jokic’s head and completely threw him off his game. He had a Rodman-like impact tonight. What a performance.

The positive is that the Nuggets can learn a lot from this game. They need to maintain their composure, stop the dumb fouls, cut down on silly turnovers, and be smarter with their pick and roll D. I think these are things they can definitely do. If they do that and a few of those wide open jumpshots go down maybe you have a different game. On the bright side, Murray continues to look amazing. Hope he stays aggressive. Jokic has got to find out how to stay out of foul trouble. Nuggets aren’t the same with him on the bench.

The tough part is that Bron didn’t even really play well and this game wasn’t close. You know he’s going to be better.

Overall, I was impressed with the Lakers. They played with a certain attitude and aggression that my Nuggets couldn’t match.

Real talk two things jump out to you when you watch the nuggets vs lakers. The lakers are older but many of their older players are just as quick and fast or faster then the nuggets who are younger. Second the most the laker players have high defensive IQs vs the nuggets who have multiple players with low defensive IQs. There were at least 5 turnovers created just off of rondo, howard, green, LBJ, AD, Morris and Caruso sniffing out a play. Hell LBJ and howard caused 3 or 4 turnovers just communicated on switches and sniffing the play out.

One play in particular where LBJ saw in like a millisecond that green was gonna get picked in a switch and he picked on greens man (murray) forced the ball not to go to murray which the play ended up getting blown out on a turnover I believe. This is the type of defensive IQ that I am talking about in which murray and jokic do not have.

I can deal with bigs being some what soft. But I can't deal with players who hide and don't want to play defense. It was disqusting that first half how joker wasn't even challenging lakers players driving to the hole dude wasn't even trying (even before getting into foul trouble).

If it's the play I'm thinking of I don't think the Lakers got a steal cause Nuggets didn't make the pass when he saw Lebron comiing It did blow up their play though and ended up in a bad Nuggets shot.. I remember the play cause I went nuts when he happened. Not just Lebron reading the pick and using it as an opportunity to jump a passing lane but also Green's recognition and him immediately stepping back and guarding Lebron's man. That rotation and communication was beautiful.

Jokic has above-average defensive IQ, he's just too slow to act on it sometimes. Millsap has good defensive IQ too. And Monte Morris had a steal from sniffing out a LBJ pass tonight that was just like you mentioned. But this is where the Nuggets miss Will Barton, he's definitely their best guard at disrupting passing lanes and surprising players with help defense, but he's still not back on the court yet.
