Looking at this protest, it will be interesting to see how it turns out. This movement is definitely from the people and for the people. I hope real change occurs for the Nigerian people and it doesnt become coopted like most of BLM.

It'll be cosmetic change and nothing else. Too much at stake for the West to allow a corrupt free Nigeria.

There doesn't exist a corrupt free govt. in any country I can think of.

If the people's movement can cause a long term reduction of corruption, that would be more than a cosmetic change.

That's with all due respect to the history and struggles against corruption and political violence over there.

But anyways, aint no change happening. Long as Nigeria stays one Country. Aint no real change happening.

There was a homecoming in New Jersey on Saturday for a journalist who was detained in Nigeria for nearly five years. It's a story we've covered since he was first arrested, and tonight, he spoke to CBS New York's Derick Waller about how he thought he was going to die behind bars
