The good brehs of PHI
Naples, Italy

Is the shyttest part of Italy

People don't give a fukk
They dump trash every where
Prostitutes will literally be seen sucking dikk and taking a piss out in the open like nothing

Every 1 is a thief
Old ass ladies pushing strollers will be shop lifting from stores

Houses get broken into on the regular

Hoes be getting kidnapped and get sent on that white slavery stroll

Didn't know that :ohhh:

Lol the dances down here are different from y’all too. More funk-, bounce-, and r&b-influenced as opposed to hip hop-, breakbeat-, and house-influenced.

Most of the young nikkas nowadays listen to a lot of Rap music but GoGo still got a presence, even a reboot in interest amongst the youth thanks to Moechella.

The Black population is pretty diverse in DC and the DMV (DC area) in general but it’s still a strong number of ADOS Black folks. Plus, my hometown next door PG County, MD looks and even feels more Chocolate than DC now. DC itself still got a good number of Black folks but it’s just too many Cacs now for my liking. I think the only cities on the East Coast to rival the Black diversity out here are NYC and Boston.

Overall tho, DMV culture has always been different from the rest of the Northeast Corridor and even from the South. We just be doing our own thing and prefer it that way :yeshrug:

I fukks with DC. When I stopped trying to compare it to home and accepted it for what it was, it was cool. Y’all just have y’all own culture that makes y’all distinct from the East Coast or the South. And that’s cool. As far as the diversity, in Philly and Delaware, everybody just black. You have some Jamaicans but they’re not a majority. In DC, there’s Ethiopians, Eritreans, Somalians, Nigerians, Ghanians, and Caribbean Blacks everywhere. It’s not like that at all in Philly. But yea...That mambo sauce is :wow: Philly nikkas have no idea what that shyt is...I can’t find it anywhere up here:mjcry:

Our culture def takes some getting used to from outsiders especially since our culture is pretty insular and provincial, we’re very protective of it the same way NOLA nikkas are protective of theirs. But once you get immersed in it, it’s truly one of the GOAT Black cultures in America.

Lol yeah it do be hella Africans, Jamaicans, and Islanders outchea. Even here in PG County, it’s a good amount of them. Hell, damn near half the Black population in Bowie is practically Nigerian lol (prolly a slight exaggeration but most likely some truth to it). Plus it’s a good amount of first and second generation African and Caribbean ppl in the DMV who retained some of their parents’ and grandparents’ home cultures but have also adopted DMV ADOS culture as well and even picked up on the local accent and slang too. It’s also not uncommon to run into Black folks here that were born to African/ADOS parents or Caribbean/ADOS parents as well.

Maaaan, mumbo sauce is the damn truth I’m tryna tell you slim :blessed: Sounds like you managed to get a sample of the carryout culture out here. For the most part, you won’t really find mumbo sauce outside of DC, PG County, Silver Spring/southern Montgomery County, Alexandria, and Waldorf. Apparently it’s a few spots up in Bmore that offers it as well as this carryout by my school (UMES) in Princess Anne, MD that has it too. Anytime you’ll see Mumbo sauce outside of the DC area is if the local college (especially if it’s an HBCU) got a good enough number of students from the DMV or if there are any DC/PG transplants making their own homemade mumbo sauces and selling that shyt from their cribs.

Also, next time you’re in the area, try out a nice greasy ass Steak N Cheese and cheesesteak egg rolls :myman:

As far as condiments are concerned, y’all put anything special on y’all hood food up in Philly? I know Bmore got the saltpepperketchup, hot sauce, and Old Bay while NYC got BBQ sauce and duck sauce.

Buffalo NY

was only there like three hours. felt like i was in the bizarro version of an american city.

actually when i was in Cleveland it was tense as fukk but that was because it was during the republican national convention (my friends and i went to join a protest against police brutality) so ill give the city the benefit of the doubt

Philly felt weird when I first got there, could’ve been because i was drunk asf, but the moment the plane landed I felt like I had entered a twilight zone. The feeling never ended the entire 5 years I was there.
