We do know it sold well because it beat games multiplat games like Fifa, Mortal Kombat, NBA 2K24, and Madden. The game is just on xbox which is a distant third and PC. So, it is a nice feat to get #1 over the titles above. However, as I've mentioned Microsoft will need more than one AAA game to get Playstation gamers to buy their console because most people usually stick with one console or get a Nintendo as 2nd console

They keep saying they aren’t even trying to sell more consoles than Playstation. I don’t even know why people keep harping on that comparison.
If they wanted to sell more consoles, Starfield wouldn’t be available on PC.
Sony was discounting and bundling heavy this month. Their succcess is selling as many consoles as possible. Xbox’s is not.

They said it was their most successful launch a long time ago. People(sony stan’s) just make up their own reality and run with it.

There are no definite numbers. But RE4 announced 4 million sales a while ago, and Starfield is sitting higher than that in just a couple weeks.

Take Two doesn’t share digital data and FIFA only has two days of sales on the charts, so its really only MK and Madden
Yeah, Microsoft is playing a different game because they also leverage PC and will of take advantage of mobile. We have games like RE4 being able to run on an iPhone 15 pro is making me think that mobile market might become a player for AAA in the near future. I assume Microsoft is going to make a mobile store to take advantage of that, so it should get interesting.

No it isn’t. Resident Evil 4 sold 4 million World Wide, there is no data for Starfields world wide sales.
