I don't blame him, how many times do you have to see/hear about us dying before you say fukk it and use the fight or flight method.

That's just stupid logic..

So you're advocating for everyone who gets pulled over by the police to just keep driving and evading them out of fear of being killed? :beli:

First and foremost, what these agencies need to quit doing is hiring these shell shocked assed veterans. I don't know how it is around anybody else's way, but here, they basically go to the front of the line when it comes to law enforcement jobs regardless of experience, or if they're fukked up or not. Basically on some gratitude/guilt shyt. You want to take somebody out the desert or jungle, put him on the streets, and think shyt's gonna be sweet? :heh:

My pops was in 'Nam, and took a job as a cop cuz that was the only thing he could get at the time. shyt, they came at him. I worked security for GM when I was younger, and about 80% of the staff were ex military and/or cops. Most of em were cool, but some of them were arrogant a$$holes waiting for somebody to get out of pocket with them. These fukking bacon bits ain't no different. shyt can go from 0-100 real quick like cuz they shell shocked, drunk off power, and pretty much have a green light to do whatever they want.

That's what happened in Cali 30 years ago when that serial killer was pretending to be a cop.

You're talking about veteran's preference points. That's a federal law thing. If they don't do it, they can be sued -- and veterans are very sue happy when it comes to that shyt. 'How dare such and such be hired over me when my veteran's preference should have put me over them'.

The vets win.

Not necessarily. I can only speak about the public sector, but the vets preference doesn't guarantee anybody a job. It gives you a boost in points, that can get you into an interview, but once you get to the interview stage, the preference goes out the window, and they pick the best candidate from that group that was interviewed. The vet could still get the job, but it should be because the vet was the best candidate of the bunch. At my job we just went through that same situation, where somebody made the interview stage because they had the extra points from veterans preference. When they weren't hired, they requested info on the hire through the FOIA. They threatened to sue, and when they received the paperwork on the person that was hired they fell back.
